What is Cardio-Care and How Does It Work?

Cardio-Care is a natural food supplement containing Co-Enzyme Q10, L-Arginine, Taurine, L-Carnitine, Hawthorne Berry, Magnesium (Mg), Selenium (SE) and Potassium (K).    Co-Enzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) is a safe, naturally occurring substance which has properties potentially beneficial for preventing cellular damage associated with cardiovascular disorders, including angina pectoris, hypertension and congestive heart failure.  Its clinical importance is now being established in clinical trials worldwide.  Cardio-care contains the purest Japanese form of CoQ10 available on the market.

Amino Acids are very important to heart function and the well being of the cardiovascular system.  Chronic oral administration of L-Arginine helps prevent the rise of blood pressure induced by sodium chloride loading in salt-sensitive individuals.  It is a precursor to nitric oxide which dilates blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.  Several studies have shown that inhibiting the synthesis of nitric oxide in animal and human models results in hypertension.

 Taurine has been reported to have anti-hypertensive activity.  It has been shown in research to relax blood vessels by enhancing endorphin production, resulting in lowered blood pressure.

 L-Carnitine is an important nutrient for heart and muscle function.  It is necessary for fatty acid metabolism and energy production in cardiac and skeletal muscle.  In fact, about 95% of the L-Carnitine in our body occurs in these tissues.  When we are healthy, L-Carnitine can also be produced in the kidneys and liver.  When the body’s production is too low, dietary supplements can supply what’s needed.  L-Carnitine is the pure, safe form of this powerful amino acid.  Carnitine has been used therapeutically in treating angina and certain deficiency diseases.

 Hawthorn plays a role in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, in part, due to the presence of antioxidant flavonoid components. 

There have been several studies indicating magnesium may help to lower blood pressure and prevent hypertension by relaxing the smooth muscles of the blood vessels.  In one study, researchers showed that taking magnesium in amounts as low as 365mg per day with beta blockers can significantly reduce blood pressure compared to taking beta blockers alone. 

Selenium is a natural antioxidant which delays the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids and preserves the elasticity of tissue.   It protects normal cell function by supporting the body’s natural defenses and scavenging harmful free radicals.

 Potassium is one of the most important minerals for hypertension.  It is well documented that a diet low in potassium and high in sodium is associated with hypertension.

Suggested Use: 

As a food supplement, take one capsule three times a day, unless otherwise directed by your physician.  Each capsule will provide: Ascorbic Acid 450mg, Magnesium (Citrate) 48mg, Selenium 75mcg, Potassium (Citrate) 30mg, Taurine 300mg, CoQ10Enzyme 150mg, L-Carnitine 90mg.  Other ingredients: Hawthorne Berry, Leaf and Flower.
